Everybody's Talking About Jamie is a musical film based on the true story of Jamie Campbell, a teenager from Sheffield, England. Jamie is openly gay and dreams of becoming a drag queen. He has a passion for fashion, and he often spends his time creating extravagant outfits. Jamie's mother, Margaret, supports him no matter what, but he faces bullying and discrimination from his classmates.
Jamie's dreams start to become a reality when he meets Hugo, a former drag queen who becomes his mentor. With the help of his supportive friends, Pritti and Ray, Jamie starts to explore his drag persona, Mimi Me, and prepares for his debut as a performer.
However, Jamie faces challenges and setbacks along the way. He struggles to come out to his father, who is more conservative and disapproves of his son's aspirations.
