Eternals is an upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics race of the same name. The film is directed by Chloé Zhao and produced by Kevin Feige. It stars an ensemble cast including Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, Salma Hayek, Lia McHugh, Don Lee, Barry Keoghan, Gemma Chan, and Kit Harington.
The film is set after the events of Avengers: Endgame, where the Eternals have been living on Earth in secret for thousands of years, watching and protecting humanity without interference. However, after an unexpected tragedy forces them to come out of hiding, they must reunite to save humanity from their ancient enemies, the Deviants.
The Eternals are a race of immortal beings with superhuman abilities, created by the Celestials to protect Earth from the Deviants. The Deviants are a monstrous and destructive race that feeds on human flesh and has been terrorizing the planet for centuries.
As the Eternals come together, they must confront their past traumas and conflicts, while also trying to save humanity from the Deviants’ catastrophic plan. They have to navigate their own complex relationships and power dynamics, while also trying to understand their place in the world and the nature of their own existence.
Eternals promises to be a visually stunning and emotionally compelling story about the power of family, love, and sacrifice in the face of adversity. It is scheduled to be released on November 5, 2021.
