Tia and Tony possess telekinetic and psychic abilities, which they use to communicate with each other and with animals. They are unaware of their true identity and believe they are just ordinary children. Lucas Deranian is a henchman working for Aristotle Bolt, who is obsessed with using the children's powers for his own purposes.
Jason, a wealthy widower who is still grieving the loss of his wife, meets Tia and Tony by chance and becomes entangled in their struggle to escape from Deranian and Bolt. He is initially skeptical of their abilities, but eventually comes to believe in their powers and decides to help them.
Together, the three embark on a dangerous journey to Witch Mountain, a mysterious location where Tia and Tony believe they may be able to find answers about their past and their powers. Along the way, they encounter numerous obstacles and face danger from Bolt's henchmen who are hot on their trail.
As they approach Witch Mountain, they discover that it is a spaceship that had crash-landed on Earth many years ago, and that Tia and Tony are actually the alien inhabitants of the ship. With the help of Jason, they must evade Bolt's men and escape to safety before their powers are used for evil purposes.
In the end, Tia and Tony are reunited with their alien family and Jason finds closure in his grief, having found a new purpose in life by helping the children.
