Escape Plan is a 2013 action thriller film directed by Mikael Håfström from a screenplay written by Miles Chapman and Jason Keller. The movie stars Sylvester Stallone as Ray Breslin, a former prosecutor who is now an expert in prison security. Breslin's job is to test the security of various prisons by breaking out of them, which he does successfully every time.
When Breslin is approached by the CIA to test their top-secret prison, he agrees to do so. However, he soon finds himself framed for a crime he did not commit and thrown into the prison he designed himself, called The Tomb. The prison is run by a sadistic warden, Hobbes (Jim Caviezel), and is filled with dangerous criminals who are all out for blood.
Breslin teams up with another prisoner, Emil Rottmayer (Arnold Schwarzenegger), to hatch a plan to escape from The Tomb. Together, they use their wits, skills, and brawn to outsmart the guards, avoid the traps, and find a way out. Along the way, they discover that their escape is linked to the corrupt government officials who put Breslin in prison in the first place.
Escape Plan features intense action sequences, thrilling chases, and a plot that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats. The film also has a strong cast, with Stallone and Schwarzenegger giving powerhouse performances as two tough guys who will stop at nothing to regain their freedom.
