Escape from Sobibor is a 1987 British television movie that tells the story of the uprising and escape from the Nazi death camp at Sobibor. The film follows the experiences of Soviet officer Alexander Pechersky, who was imprisoned in the camp along with his fellow Jewish inmates.
The first part of the film establishes the horrific conditions in the camp, with mass executions carried out routinely and little hope of escape for the prisoners. However, Pechersky and a group of his fellow inmates begin to organize a resistance movement, attempting to sabotage the camp's infrastructure and gathering weapons and tools for a possible escape.
