Eradication follows the story of John, a man with a unique blood type that makes him immune to a deadly virus that has wiped out most of the world's population. He and other survivors are locked in a government quarantine facility where they are studied by a team of scientists.
John's wife, Sarah, is also in the facility but they are kept apart because of fear that he may infect her with the disease. John becomes increasingly desperate to be with Sarah and eventually breaks out of quarantine.
When he escapes, he discovers that the virus has mutated and has turned infected people into monstrous creatures, known as Infected. He joins forces with a small group of fellow survivors and together they fight to stay alive in a world overrun by the Infected.
Meanwhile, a shadowy government agency, the Special Pathogen Eradication Unit (SPEU), is tasked with hunting down and eliminating the Infected, and anyone who might be carrying the virus. John becomes a target of the SPEU's ruthless leader, Colonel Mitchell, who sees him as a valuable resource in their fight against the Infected.
As John and his group navigate the dangerous and deadly world outside of quarantine, they must not only fight the Infected but also evade the SPEU and find a way to reunite with their loved ones.
