Entropy

Horror  United States of America

Entropy is a psychological thriller written and directed by James Boss. The movie follows Abbey, a young woman who is diagnosed with ovarian cancer, and her girlfriend Miranda as they attend a dinner hosted by Miranda's former self-help group to celebrate the return of their estranged friend, Scott. Abbey soon realizes that the group's methods for healing their bodies are unorthodox and dangerous.

As the night progresses, Abbey begins to suspect that Scott and the group's leader, Simon, have ulterior motives for inviting her to the dinner. She discovers that the group's practice of "physical autolysis," which involves inducing a near-death experience to facilitate self-healing, has resulted in the deaths of several members.

The group's sinister intentions become apparent when Abbey is drugged and subjected to a "healing" ceremony against her will. She realizes that the group's methods are not only ineffective but also potentially deadly. With the help of Miranda, Abbey fights to escape the group's clutches and uncover their true motives.

The movie features powerful performances by its cast, including Nicole Fox as Abbey, Rachel Avery as Miranda, and Adam Korson as Simon. It is a tense and thought-provoking thriller that explores the darker side of self-help movements.
