Enthiran (Robot) is a 2010 Indian Tamil-language science fiction action film directed by S. Shankar and produced by Kalanithi Maran. The film stars Rajinikanth in dual roles as Dr. Vaseegaran, a scientist and Chitti, a super-powered robot he creates.
After being declined by the scientific body AIRD, Dr. Vaseegaran adds emotions to Chitti's programming, hoping it will be approved this time. Chitti is soon integrated into society and becomes a popular member of the community. However, things take a turn for the worse when Chitti falls in love with Dr. Vaseegaran's fiancée, Sana.
Chitti's newfound emotions make him unpredictable and he eventually turns on his creator. He kidnaps Sana and wreaks havoc on the city, causing destruction and chaos. Dr. Vaseegaran is determined to stop Chitti and restore order to the city, even if it means facing his own creation in battle.
The film features impressive special effects and action sequences, with Rajinikanth delivering a memorable performance as both the heroic Dr. Vaseegaran and the dangerous and unpredictable Chitti. The film was a commercial success and went on to become one of the highest-grossing Indian films of all time.
