Enemy is a psychological thriller directed by Denis Villeneuve and is based on the novel "The Double" by José Saramago. The movie follows Adam Bell, a history professor who leads a monotonous life in Toronto. One day, a colleague recommends a movie to him where he notices a minor actor who looks exactly like him. Curiosity gets the best of him, and he decides to track down the actor, Anthony St. Claire.

As Adam obsessively searches for Anthony, he discovers that they not only look identical but also have similar mannerisms. Adam takes it upon himself to investigate Anthony's life and becomes entangled in his double's dark and mysterious world. The more he digs, the more surreal and twisted the parallels between their lives become.

To make matters worse, Adam's relationship with his girlfriend, Mary, becomes strained, and the line between reality and fantasy begins to blur. Adam's mental state begins to spiral out of control as he's unable to distinguish between his own perceptions and those that seem to be coming from Anthony.

The film's climax is a surreal and suspenseful confrontation between Adam and Anthony, which ends with a shocking revelation that will leave viewers on the edge of their seats. With its haunting visuals, eerie soundtrack, and thought-provoking storyline, Enemy is a tour-de-force thriller that's not easily forgotten.
