Harmony Jones, played by actress Kim Basinger, is a lifelong fan of Elvis Presley. In fact, when she was just a young girl, she had a chance encounter with the King himself. This experience left such a deep impression on her that she has been unable to shake his influence ever since.
As an adult, Harmony finds herself working as a Pink Lady selling cosmetics. She has a peculiar habit of breaking into song whenever she encounters an Elvis impersonator, which seems to inadvertently bring harm to those around her. In one bizarre incident, she gets into a car accident with a group of Elvis impersonators, leaving a slew of them dead.
The authorities begin to suspect Harmony of foul play and she goes on the run from the law. Along the way, she meets up with a downtrodden ad exec named Miles, played by John Corbett. Miles is struggling with his own Elvis-related troubles, including a cheating girlfriend who has a thing for Elvis impersonators.
As they journey together, Harmony and Miles become unlikely allies, bonding over their shared love of Elvis. They navigate a series of misadventures and close calls, all while trying to avoid the law and figure out a way to clear Harmony's name.
Elvis Has Left the Building takes viewers on a wild and entertaining ride, blending comedy and suspense with a healthy dose of Elvis-inspired nostalgia.
