El Gringo is a 2012 action-adventure movie directed by Eduardo Rodriguez. The movie stars Scott Adkins as The Man, who is on a mission to cross the border into Mexico with $2 million in cash. The Man is a former special forces operative who is running from his past and hoping to start a new life.
However, as he enters the sleepy town of El Fronteras, he immediately finds himself in trouble with the local drug cartel. The cartel wants The Man's money and will stop at nothing to get it. The Man is not without his own skills, and he fights back against his attackers, taking them down one by one.
As he tries to make his way through the dangerous and lawless landscape of Mexico, The Man meets a young woman named Anna (Yvette Yates). Anna is a local who works at a bar and is also in trouble with the cartel. The two team up to fight their way out of danger.
