El Angel is a 2018 Argentine biographical crime film directed by Luis Ortega. The movie is based on the true story of Carlos Robledo Puch, one of the most notorious criminals in Argentine history, who was also known as "The Angel of Death."

The film starts with a brief introduction of Carlos as a young boy, who is fascinated with guns and violence and enjoys stealing and setting things on fire. As he grows up, he meets Ramón, a young man who shares his passion for crime and violence.

Together, they embark on a life of robbery, theft, and even murder. Carlos is portrayed as a charismatic and enigmatic figure, who seems to be in love with the attention he receives for his actions, but also has a twisted sense of morality that allows him to justify his actions.

As the pair's criminal activity escalates, they become more brazen, and even their friendship begins to deteriorate. Ultimately, their criminal escapades lead them down a path that cannot be undone, as their actions catch up with them, and the law closes in.

The film features great performances by Lorenzo Ferro and Chino Darín, who play Carlos and Ramón, respectively. The film has been well received by critics for its stylish direction, strong performances, and its honest portrayal of a real-life criminal.
