Stolen Summer: Love Beyond Boundaries

Romance,Comedy  United States of America

Eight Days a Week is a 1997 romantic comedy film directed by Michael Davis. The film follows Peter (Josh Schaefer), a teenage boy who is hopelessly in love with his next door neighbour Erica (Keri Russell). On the advice of his grandfather (Curtis Armstrong), who tells him that women love persistence, Peter decides to camp out on Erica's front lawn for the entire summer until she agrees to go out with him.

Peter's father (Chris Eigeman) is furious about his son's plan and refuses to let him back in the house, even to get a change of clothes. Peter's best friend Joey (R.D. Robb) joins him in his quest to win over Erica, while their friend T.W. (Danny Masterson) tries to profit from the situation by selling hot dogs to the neighbours who come to watch.

Throughout the summer, Peter and Erica develop a friendship as she begins to see him in a new light. However, when Erica's ex-boyfriend comes back into the picture, Peter becomes jealous and suspicious. In the end, Peter gets his chance with Erica at a local fair, and they finally go out on a date.

Eight Days a Week is a lighthearted and entertaining coming-of-age story that explores the ups and downs of teenage romance and the importance of persistence and following your heart.
