The movie Eaten by Lions follows the story of two half brothers, Omar and Pete, as they set out on a quest to find Omar's real father after their parents are tragically eaten by lions. Omar and Pete are played by Antonio Aakeel and Jack Carroll, respectively, and they make for a perfectly mismatched comedic duo.
The journey takes them to Blackpool, a seaside town in northern England known for its amusement arcades and tacky souvenir shops. There, they meet the Choudray family, a multicultural family headed by a colorful and eccentric patriarch named Uncle Ruben (played by Nitin Ganatra).
Despite their initial misgivings, Omar and Pete quickly warm up to the Choudray family, who offer them a place to stay and help them in their search for Omar's real father. Along the way, the brothers experience the highs and lows of Blackpool, from partying at nightclubs to getting stranded in a dodgy neighborhood.
The movie is filled with hilarious moments, including a scene where Omar and Pete accidentally stumble into a transgender beauty pageant, and another where they attempt to join a group of breakdancers. But it also has its share of heartwarming moments, as the brothers learn about themselves and their family roots.
Overall, Eaten by Lions is a refreshing and irreverent take on the classic road trip movie, filled with memorable characters, sharp humor, and a big heart.
