Easy Money II, also known as Snabba Cash II, is a crime thriller film directed by Babak Najafi. The movie is a sequel to the 2010 film Easy Money and is based on the novels of Jens Lapidus.
The film follows the story of JW (Joel Kinnaman), a former economics student and drug dealer who is currently serving time in prison. He is struggling to make a fresh start and change his life. However, things take a turn when he is approached by venture capitalists who are interested in a new piece of trading software he has developed.
JW sees this as an opportunity to turn his life around and leave his criminal past behind. But as he starts to work on the project, he begins to fall back into his old ways. He goes back in touch with his former gang and starts to get involved in illegal activities again.
At the same time, he finds out that his new business partners may not be as trustworthy as he thought. JW is forced to navigate the dangerous world of organized crime, where loyalty is constantly tested, and the consequences of even the smallest mistakes can be deadly.
Easy Money II features an ensemble cast, including Matias Varela as Jorge, Dragomir Mrsic as Mrado, and Fares Fares as Mahmoud. The film was critically acclaimed for its complex characters, fast-paced action, and realistic portrayal of the criminal underworld.
The movie was released in Sweden in 2012 and later in other countries. It was followed by the third and final movie of the trilogy, Easy Money III: Life Deluxe, in 2013.
