Valerie is a manicurist living in the San Fernando Valley with her fiancé, Ted, who is a doctor but also cheats on her constantly. One day she finds a spaceship crashed in her pool and meets three furry aliens named Wiploc, Zeebo, and Mac. She takes them in and brings them to her best friend Candy's salon, where they are given makeovers and become handsome, bright-colored beings.
The aliens are fascinated by Valerie's Earth culture and begin to explore the city with her. They visit a club, where they impress the crowd with their dance moves, and they all end up at a wild party at Valerie's house. Meanwhile, Ted is trying to win her back, but Valerie is not interested. She develops a connection with the alien Wiploc, and they start to fall in love.
As the aliens make more friends and learn more about Earth, they realize that they are being hunted by their own society for deserting their mission. With the help of Valerie and her friends, the aliens manage to escape their pursuers and return to space. But not before Wiploc promises to come back for Valerie one day.
Earth Girls Are Easy is a lighthearted, campy musical comedy with a catchy soundtrack and a colorful, over-the-top 80s aesthetic. It stars Geena Davis, Jeff Goldblum, and Jim Carrey as the three aliens, and features cameos from beloved comedic actors like Julie Brown and Michael McKean.
