Earth and Blood is a French action-thriller film directed by Julien Leclercq, and starring Sami Bouajila, Eriq Ebouaney, and Samy Seghir. The film tells the story of Saïd, a single father who owns a sawmill in the French countryside, where he employs several apprentices, including his 18-year-old daughter Sarah. Saïd struggles to make ends meet, and decides to sell the sawmill to a local businessman to secure his daughter's future.
Meanwhile, one of Saïd's apprentices, Yanis, is confronted by his own brother, who works for a notorious gang who have just lost a large shipment of drugs. Yanis is forced to hide the drugs inside the sawmill, just as Saïd is finalizing the sale. The gang quickly discovers the missing drugs and learns that they were hidden inside the sawmill. They descend upon the sawmill, determined to retrieve their drugs and kill anyone who gets in their way.
Saïd realizes the danger his factory is in and makes a stand to protect his daughter and his employees. He barricades the sawmill and transforms it into an embattled camp, using the sawmill's machinery to fight back against the invading gang. As the violence escalates, the bodies pile up and both sides become more and more determined to emerge victorious. Saïd must use all of his knowledge of the sawmill to outsmart and outmaneuver the gang, while also struggling to keep his daughter and himself alive.
The film showcases brutal action scenes as well as emotional moments, as Saïd fights to protect his family and his livelihood. Earth and Blood is a tense and gritty thriller that explores the lengths a father will go to in order to protect those he loves.
