Durgeshgorer Guptodhon is a 2019 Bengali adventure film directed by Dhrubo Banerjee. The film stars Abir Chatterjee as Sona da, an amateur historian and adventurer. Jhinuk is played by Ishaa Saha, while Arjun Chakrabarty plays Abir.
The film takes place during Durga Puja festivities and follows Sona da, Jhinuk and Abir's quest to uncover an ancient treasure rumoured to be connected to the Battle of Plassey. They follow a trail of clues that lead them to the mansion of the Debroy family, erstwhile zamindars who may hold the key to the treasure.
Sona da's intelligence and wit are tested as he solves one puzzle after another, leading him closer to the treasure. The trio also encounters various roadblocks along the way, including a rival group led by a ruthless businessman named Amartya, played by Kaushik Sen.
The film features striking visuals of Kolkata during the Durga Puja festivities, and the Debroy mansion serves as an opulent backdrop to the adventure. The film also boasts a stellar soundtrack, featuring several popular songs with a Bengali twist.
Durgeshgorer Guptodhon was a box office success, and it was followed by a sequel, titled Durgeshgorer Guptodhon 2, in 2021.
