Lloyd and Harry are best friends who live together in a run-down apartment. When Lloyd, a limo driver, picks up Mary to take her to the airport, he immediately falls in love with her and decides to go to Aspen to return her forgotten suitcase. Harry decides to accompany him, and they set off on a road trip.
Along the way, they encounter all kinds of hijinks, including accidentally killing a man by giving him too much sleeping medicine, trading their van for a moped, and getting conned by a hitchhiking woman. They also end up being pursued by the man who Mary was supposed to deliver the suitcase to, a ruthless criminal named Joe Mentalino.
When they finally make it to Aspen, Lloyd and Harry discover that the suitcase contains $1 million in cash. They decide to spend the money and live the high life in Aspen. However, they soon realize that Joe Mentalino is also in town, and they must figure out a way to outsmart him and protect Mary.
In their own bumbling way, Lloyd and Harry manage to save the day and win Mary's heart. However, they ultimately end up losing all the money and returning home to their normal lives, cherishing the memories of their wild adventure.
