Duck, You Sucker

Western  Italy

Duck, You Sucker is a 1971 Italian epic Spaghetti Western film directed by Sergio Leone and starring Rod Steiger and James Coburn. It was released in the United States under the title "A Fistful of Dynamite".

The movie is set during the Mexican Revolution in 1913, when Juan Miranda (Rod Steiger) and John H. Mallory (James Coburn) meet and form an unlikely alliance. Miranda is a notorious bandit who robs trains and steals from the rich, while Mallory is an IRA explosives expert on the run from the British authorities.

The two men team up to rob a national bank, but soon find themselves caught up in the revolution when they discover that the government has been using the bank vault to imprison politically dissident citizens.

As the revolution intensifies and the two men become more deeply involved, they find themselves torn between their loyalty to each other and their own personal agendas. Miranda begins to see himself as a revolutionary hero, while Mallory becomes more disillusioned with the violence and chaos of the revolution.

The movie explores themes of betrayal, friendship, and personal redemption against the backdrop of the Mexican Revolution. With its epic scope, stunning cinematography, and complex characters, Duck, You Sucker is considered one of Sergio Leone's most ambitious and engaging films, and a true classic of the Western genre.
