"Drown the Clown" follows the story of Mary, a mother who is struggling to come to terms with the tragic loss of her daughter, Lily. Lily drowned in a pool accident, and the guilt and grief have consumed Mary's life. She has become obsessed with preserving Lily's memory, not just by keeping her nursery intact, but by also keeping her favorite clown doll, Mr. Smiles, with her at all times.
Mary's husband, Tom, is concerned about her mental health and urges her to seek help. However, Mary becomes increasingly withdrawn and distant, fixated on the idea that Lily's spirit is still alive and present in their home.
As Mary's obsession intensifies, strange occurrences begin to take place, leading Mary to believe that Lily's spirit is trying to communicate with her. She becomes convinced that Lily's favorite clown doll, Mr. Smiles, is possessed and is the key to unlocking the mystery of Lily's death.
Tom, desperate to help his wife, seeks the help of a local medium, who attempts to communicate with Lily's spirit to bring Mary some closure and peace. But things take a terrifying turn as Mary's obsession with the clown doll spirals out of control, leading to a shocking and unexpected conclusion.
