In the beginning of the movie, DEA agents are on a plane transporting a notorious drug lord, who is also a computer expert, to trial. Ty Moncrief leads a team of skydivers to hijack the plane mid-air, causing it to crash into the Florida Everglades. The drug lord survives, but his whereabouts are unknown.
Federal Marshal Pete Nessip is asked to investigate the case and is informed of Ty Moncrief's history as a former DEA agent turned criminal. Nessip's brother was killed by Moncrief's team, and he becomes obsessed with bringing them to justice.
In his pursuit of the criminals, Nessip teams up with skydiving instructor Jessie Crossmann, who teaches him how to skydive. Nessip and Crossmann develop an unlikely friendship as they work together to infiltrate the group's next heist, which involves stealing secret files from a special task force unit.
As they skydive onto the roof of the building, things go wrong, and Nessip must fight to stop the criminals and save innocent lives. In the end, Nessip and Crossmann succeed in stopping the criminal organization and bringing Ty Moncrief to justice.
