Dr. Dolittle 2 is a 2001 American comedy film directed by Steve Carr and written by Larry Levin. It stars Eddie Murphy as Dr. John Dolittle, a veterinarian who can talk to animals, and features the voices of various animals such as Lisa Kudrow, Steve Zahn, and Norm Macdonald.

The movie begins with Dr. Dolittle living a peaceful life in his animal sanctuary with his family and many animal friends. However, his tranquility is disrupted when a group of beavers come to him with a plea for help. They tell him that their home, a forest, is going to be cut down by a logging company, putting their lives and the lives of the other animals living there in danger.

Dr. Dolittle visits the forest and discovers that the only way to save it is to get it declared as a protected area due to the presence of a rare species of bear. However, he learns that the bear, named Ava, is unable to reproduce because there are no other bears in the forest. Therefore, Dolittle comes up with a plan to introduce a male bear to the forest to mate with Ava and thus save the entire habitat.

Dolittle goes to a circus where he meets a talking bear named Archie, who he believes can help with his plan. However, Archie is not interested in living in the wild and initially refuses to help. Dolittle has to teach Archie how to be a wild bear and how to attract Ava. They teach Archie how to fish, climb trees, and roar like a bear.

Eventually, Archie falls in love with Ava, and they successfully mate. The forest is saved, and the animals can continue to live in peace. In the end, Dolittle and his family take Archie back to the circus, but he decides to stay in the wild with Ava and their cubs.

Overall, Dr. Dolittle 2 is a heartwarming family movie with an important message about protecting the environment and the animals that inhabit it.
