Don't Go Too Far follows the story of four siblings who come together at the eldest brother, David's house after the announcement of their father's will. David is a successful lawyer, married to Sophie, and they have a son named Jack. The other siblings are Michael, Sarah, and Jenny. Michael is a businessman who has some financial problems, Sarah is an artist who can't seem to find her footing in her career, and Jenny is a stay-at-home mom.
As the will is announced by the notary, complaints begin to erupt among the siblings about the distribution of their father's assets. Suddenly, the phone rings, and David answers it to find a kidnapper claiming to have his son, Jack. The kidnapper demands a ransom of $5 million, or else he'll kill Jack.
David, Sophie, and the siblings are all devastated by the news and unsure of what to do. As they try to figure out a way to save Jack, tensions rise between the siblings, and secrets begin to emerge. It soon becomes clear that someone among them may be involved in the kidnapping.
The family must work together to save Jack while also navigating their own personal issues. As the race against time continues, they learn that they need to put their differences aside and trust each other if they're going to save Jack and come out of the situation as a family.
