TV Movie,Comedy  United States of America

The movie Don't Drink the Water is a comedy film directed by Howard Morris and released in 1969. The story revolves around the Hollander family, consisting of Walter (played by Jackie Gleason), his wife Marion (played by Estelle Parsons), and their daughter Susan (played by Joan Delaney).

The Hollander family is on a vacation in Europe and accidentally takes a wrong turn while driving in a foreign country. They end up in a sensitive region behind the iron curtain, where Walter takes a photograph of a sunset, mistaking it for a scenic view. Unbeknownst to him, the photograph contains classified information that could put him and his family in serious trouble.

As soon as the authorities discover the photograph, they declare the Hollanders as spies and begin a manhunt to capture them. The family takes refuge in the American Embassy, where they meet the absent Ambassador's son, Axel (played by Ted Bessell). Axel is a young and inexperienced diplomat, who is temporarily running the embassy in his father's absence.

The Hollander family must now stay hidden in the embassy until the situation can be resolved. However, Axel's incompetence and lack of diplomacy skills make things worse for them. He constantly puts the family in danger by revealing their presence to the press and other officials.

As the situation becomes more complicated, the Hollanders must rely on their wit and wits to survive. The movie is a classic comedy with hilarious scenes and witty one-liners. The colorful characters and absurd situations make it an entertaining watch.
