Dolly Dearest is a horror film released in 1991 and directed by Maria Lease. The movie tells the story of an American family, the Wades, who move to Mexico to set up a doll-manufacturing factory. Charles (Sam Bottoms) and his wife Marilyn (Denise Crosby) bring their young daughter Jessica (Candace Hutson) and son Jimmy (Chris Demetral) with them to Mexico.

The factory is located next to an ancient, mysterious burial ground that belongs to the Sanzian tribe. Unbeknownst to the family, the burial ground is sacred, and disturbing the spirits of the dead can invoke a curse.

Soon after arrival, the Wades' doll factory begins production, and among the dolls produced is a line of dolls called Dolly Dearest. However, Jessica notices something peculiar about one of the Dolly Dearest dolls. The doll starts to behave oddly, hearing and reacting to orders given to it by an unseen force. As the doll's behavior becomes more erratic and dangerous, it's clear it has come under the possession of the Sanzian spirit.

As the dolls multiply, they become more malevolent, attacking the family and their friends. It becomes apparent that the Sanzian spirit is using the dolls as vessels to wreak havoc and destruction on the Wades and those around them.

The tension intensifies as Charles and Marilyn try to save their family from the wrath of the possessed dolls. The family's faith and determination are put to the test as they find themselves fighting against an age-old spirit fueled by hatred and vengeance.

Dolly Dearest is a terrifying, blood-curdling horror movie that offers viewers an unforgettable experience full of tension, suspense, and malevolent dolls.
