DogMan follows the story of 12-year old Max, who has faced numerous challenges in his young life. Max is constantly bullied by his classmates at school, his parents recently separated, and he's struggling with a learning disability that makes it hard for him to keep up with his studies.
Despite all of this, Max finds comfort and solace in his two loyal dogs - a Golden Retriever named Jake and a Beagle named Lucy. They become his constant companions, following him everywhere he goes, and providing him the love and support he desperately needs.
One day, Max and his dogs stumble upon a dogfighting ring in their neighborhood. Horrified by what they see, Max decides to take action. He enlists the help of his new friend Lily, a dog trainer who's passionate about rescuing abused animals, to help him shut down the operation.
As Max and Lily try to expose the dogfighting ring, they face numerous obstacles and dangers. The ring's owner, a vicious criminal named Rocco, is determined to protect his illegal enterprise at all costs. Max and Lily must use all their wits and ingenuity to outsmart Rocco and his goons and save the dogs from a life of abuse and cruelty.
Through it all, Max's love for Jake and Lucy remains steadfast, and their bond helps him find the courage and strength to stand up to the bullies in his life and the criminals threatening his community. In the end, Max discovers that his dogs have taught him valuable life lessons about courage, loyalty, and kindness - qualities that will serve him well as he faces the challenges of adulthood.
