Django Unchained is a multi-award-winning American western film, directed by Quentin Tarantino, released in 2012. The movie stars Jamie Foxx as the titular Django, a slave who is freed by Dr. King Schultz, played by Christoph Waltz. Dr. Schultz is a bounty hunter who recruits Django to help him track down some outlaws he is targeting.
While working together, Django reveals that he is looking for his wife, Broomhilda, who was sold separately from him and is now owned by Calvin Candie, a brutal plantation owner in Mississippi. With Schultz's help, Django sets out to rescue his wife.
The two arrive at Candie's plantation posing as potential buyers of a fighter. They soon discover that Candie has a twisted interest in watching slaves fight to the death and that Broomhilda is being held captive in a nearby spa.
Django and Schultz hatch a plan to rescue Broomhilda, but not without facing the dangerous and violent wrath of Candie and his loyal followers. As the film progresses, the violence and bloodshed escalate, leading to a thrilling and explosive finale.
The movie also has an impressive supporting cast, including Leonardo DiCaprio as Calvin Candie, Kerry Washington as Broomhilda, and Samuel L. Jackson as Stephen, Candie's loyal house slave.
