Django, Prepare a Coffin is a 1968 spaghetti Western film directed by Ferdinando Baldi. The film stars Terence Hill in the lead role as Django, a mysterious gunslinger seeking revenge against a corrupt political boss named David Barry (played by Horst Frank).

The film is set in a small town in the American West, where David Barry has seized control of the local government and uses his power to frame innocent men and women for crimes they did not commit. These individuals are then sentenced to hang, and their land is confiscated by Barry and his cronies.

Django is approached by Barry to serve as the town's hangman, and he accepts the job on the condition that he be allowed to select the individuals who are sentenced to death. Unbeknownst to Barry, however, Django is not actually hanging the men at all. Instead, he is faking their deaths and recruiting them into his own vigilante gang, which he plans to use to take down Barry and his corrupt regime.

As Django's gang grows in strength, he sets his plan into motion, launching a series of attacks against Barry and his associates. Along the way, however, Django's resolve is tested as he confronts the tragic events of his past, including the death of his wife at the hands of Barry and his former best friend.

Django, Prepare a Coffin is known for its stylized violence, its use of dark humor, and its memorable score by composer Gianfranco Reverberi. The film was a critical and commercial success upon its release, and it helped to establish Terence Hill as a major star in the spaghetti Western genre.
