Dive!! is a 2017 live-action Japanese film directed by Naoto Kumazawa. The movie is based on a manga series of the same name by Eto Mori, which was serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shōnen Sunday from June 2007 to June 2017.
The movie follows the story of Tomoki Sakai, a junior-high school student who becomes fascinated with diving after watching Yoichi Fujitani, born into a family of former Olympic divers, perform a difficult and impressive dive. Tomoki decides to join the Mizuki Diving Club, where Yoichi trains, and meets other members of the team, including Shibuki Okitsu, a skilled diver from Tsugaru who has a wild streak.
However, the Mizuki Diving Club is in deep financial trouble, and their very survival is under question. In an effort to save the club, Kayoko Asaki, a former diving champion who has just returned from the US, is brought in as a new coach. Her goal is to produce an athlete capable of competing in the Olympics, but she faces many challenges in achieving her mission.
As the team struggles to overcome personal problems and conflicts, they must also deal with setbacks in the sport, including injuries and personal setbacks. Tomoki, Yoichi, and Shibuki are pushed to their limits as they train to achieve their dreams of becoming successful divers.
