District B13, also known as Banlieue 13, is a 2004 French action film directed by Pierre Morel and written by Luc Besson. The movie is set in the year 2010 and takes place in a rundown neighborhood in the suburbs of Paris, which has been walled off from the rest of the city due to rampant crime and violence.

The story follows an undercover cop, Damien Tomaso (played by Cyril Raffaelli), who is tasked with infiltrating a dangerous gang led by a notorious drug lord named Taha (played by Bibi Naceri). In order to defuse a stolen neutron bomb that has been rigged to explode in the district, Damien teams up with a fearless ex-thug named Leito (played by David Belle), who has a personal vendetta against Taha.

As the two unlikely allies navigate the perilous terrain of District B13, they must use their unique skills and resourcefulness to outmaneuver the gang and prevent a catastrophic disaster. Along the way, they encounter a series of intense action setpieces, including parkour-infused chase scenes, martial arts brawls, and explosive showdowns.

Through the dynamic partnership of Damien and Leito, we see the power of cooperation and empathy in an environment where survival is difficult and trust is hard to come by. Although the film is a thrilling adrenaline ride, it also offers a social commentary on the consequences of unchecked inequality and crime, and the potential for common ground and unity in the face of danger.
