Disenchanted is an upcoming American musical-comedy film, directed by Adam Shankman and written by J. David Stem and David N. Weiss. It is a sequel to the 2007 film, Enchanted, and features Amy Adams reprising her role as Giselle. The movie follows Giselle as she struggles to adapt to life in the real world and longs for the magic of Andalasia.

After years of living in the city with her husband, Robert (Patrick Dempsey), and their daughter, Morgan (Rachel Covey), Giselle begins to feel out of place and discontent. She misses the fairy tale world of Andalasia and yearns for the simplicity and joyful nature of life there. Seeking a way to recapture that magic, she accidentally casts a spell that transforms their entire town into a real-life fairy tale, complete with enchanted animals, talking furniture, and magical transformations.

As the consequences of her spell become apparent, Giselle must race against time to reverse the enchantment and save her family from the dangers that accompany their new lives. Along the way, she discovers that happiness doesn't come from living in a fairy tale, but from finding a balance between the magic of the impossible and the experiences of everyday life.

In addition to Adams and Dempsey, Disenchanted stars James Marsden, Idina Menzel, Maya Rudolph, Yvette Nicole Brown, and Jayma Mays. With music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, the film promises to be a whimsical and entertaining exploration of what it means to find true happiness in a world that's not quite perfect.
