Adventure,Drama,Action  United States of America

Disappearances is a 2006 adventure film directed by Jay Craven. It stars Kris Kristofferson as Quebec Bill Bohomme, a man determined to save his family's farm and beloved herd of cattle in Northern Vermont during the onset of the Great Depression. When Quebec Bill is faced with a looming foreclosure, he turns to his family's traditional trade of whiskey smuggling to make some quick cash.

To help him on the dangerous journey, Quebec Bill enlists the help of his estranged son, Wild Bill (Charlie McDermott), and his former partner-in-crime, the mysterious Henry Coville (Gary Farmer). The group also takes on a hired hand, Rat Kinneson (William Sanderson), a recently released ex-con with a penchant for Shakespeare.

The foursome embarks on a perilous trek through the wilderness, facing dangerous obstacles and uncertain outcomes along the way. They must evade law enforcement, navigate treacherous terrain, and confront personal demons as they try to achieve their goal of delivering a load of contraband whiskey across the Canadian border.

As the journey progresses, the men are tested physically and emotionally, revealing the true nature of their characters and their relationships with one another. Disappearances is a thrilling, witty, and poignant film that explores themes of family, honor, and redemption in the face of adversity.
