Dirty Mary Crazy Larry is a 1974 action film directed by John Hough. The film follows two friends, Larry Rayder (Peter Fonda) and Deke Sommers (Adam Roarke), and Larry's love interest, Mary (Susan George), as they plan and execute a daring grocery store heist. They steal $150,000 in cash, but their escape plan is foiled when the police catch up to them. The trio takes off in Larry's Dodge Charger, with the police in hot pursuit.

The high-speed chase takes them through a variety of terrains, including desert roads, small towns, and highways. The gang must outmaneuver the police while avoiding obstacles like sharp turns and roadblocks. At one point, they even attempt to jump their car over a wrecked school bus.

As the chase wears on, tensions rise between the three. Mary, who initially didn't want to be involved in the heist, grows increasingly concerned for their safety. Deke, meanwhile, becomes more brazen and reckless, relishing in the danger and excitement of the chase.

The film's climax takes place at a train crossing, where the gang tries to outrun an oncoming train. The ending is both thrilling and tragic, as the fallout from the heist catches up with Larry and his friends.

Dirty Mary Crazy Larry was a commercial success upon its release and has since become a cult classic. Its intense car chases and compelling characters have made it a beloved entry in the action genre.
