Die Another Day is the 20th film in the James Bond franchise and was released in 2002. The main villain, Colonel Tan-Sun Moon, is the leader of North Korea, but he undergoes DNA replacement surgery to become a British diamond magnate named Gustav Graves.
After being captured and held prisoner for over a year, Bond is released in a prisoner exchange, but he is still under suspicion for giving up information under torture. He sets out to find the truth and clear his name, and his investigation leads him to Graves.
Graves has developed a high-tech weapon called Icarus, which uses concentrated solar power to create focused laser beams. He plans to use it to destroy the demilitarized zone between North and South Korea and conquer both countries. Bond teams up with American agent Jinx Johnson to stop Graves and his plans.
Throughout the film, Bond faces numerous obstacles, including a deadly car chase on an ice lake and a fight on a crashing plane. He also gets involved with Miranda Frost, a British intelligence agent who is working with Graves, but she betrays him and aligns herself with Bond.
In the end, Bond and Jinx end up defeating Graves and destroying Icarus. Bond also learns the truth about his capture and is cleared of any wrongdoing. The film ends with Bond sailing off into the sunset with Jinx.
