Dhoom 2 is a Bollywood action thriller film released in 2006. It is the second installment in the Dhoom movie series. Produced by Aditya Chopra and directed by Sanjay Gadhvi, the film stars Hrithik Roshan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, and Uday Chopra in leading roles.
The movie starts with Jai Dixit (Abhishek Bachchan), an officer of the Mumbai Police Department, and his partner Ali Akbar Fateh Khan (Uday Chopra) being tasked with catching a notorious thief who steals valuable artifacts. The thief, known only as "Mr. A" (Hrithik Roshan), is a master of disguise and a skilled thief who is always a step ahead of the police.
Despite their best efforts, Jai and Ali are unable to catch Mr. A, who continues to strike in Mumbai and other parts of the world. It is then that Jai comes up with a plan to use Sunehri (Aishwarya Rai), a female thief who is Mr. A's associate, to catch him.
Jai and Ali attempt to enlist Sunehri's help to catch Mr. A, but she is initially reluctant. However, after Jai convinces her that Mr. A is only using her, she agrees to help. Jai and Ali train Sunehri to become an expert thief and use her to get close to Mr. A.
As the plan unfolds, the trio proceeds to Rio de Janeiro, the location of Mr. A's latest heist. They discover that Mr. A is planning to steal a valuable artifact from a museum. A thrilling action sequence ensues, where Jai and Ali pursue Mr. A on motorcycles, cars, and a helicopter.
Dhoom 2 was a critical and commercial success upon its release, breaking several box office records in India and abroad. The movie's action sequences, music, and performances were widely appreciated, with special praise given to Hrithik Roshan for his portrayal of the charismatic and stylish thief, Mr. A.
