Dhoom is a 2004 Indian action thriller film directed by Sanjay Gadhvi and produced by Aditya Chopra. It stars John Abraham, Abhishek Bachchan, Uday Chopra, Esha Deol, and Rimi Sen in lead roles.
The plot revolves around a gang of bikers led by the suave and ruthless Kabir (John Abraham), who are on a heist spree in Mumbai. They rob various establishments and flee the scene on their speedy bikes, leaving the police force clueless about their identities.
ACP Jai Dixit (Abhishek Bachchan), a determined and skilled police officer, takes on the case and seeks the help of a local bike mechanic and aspiring racer named Ali (Uday Chopra) to chase the gang on his bike and gather information about their modus operandi.
As Jai and Ali pursue the gang, they encounter several high-intensity bike chases and action sequences that keep the viewers at the edge of their seats. Kabir, however, is always one step ahead of the cops and manages to evade capture every time.
Amidst all this chaos, Jai and Ali develop a close friendship and work together to foil Kabir's final heist in Goa. The action-packed climax takes place on a scenic beach in Goa and brings the story to a thrilling conclusion.
Dhoom was a commercial success at the box office and spawned a successful franchise with three sequels. The film's memorable soundtrack, composed by Pritam, also became popular among audiences and is still considered a classic.
