Dhamaka is an upcoming Indian thriller film directed by Ram Madhvani and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Amita Madhvani, and Ram Madhvani. The film stars Kartik Aaryan in the lead role as Arjun Pathak, a cynical ex-TV news anchor who is now running a successful radio show. One day, Arjun receives an alarming call from a terrorist who threatens to blow up a bridge in Mumbai. Arjun sees this as his chance to make a career comeback and boost his show's ratings, but he soon realizes that his actions may have dire consequences.
As Arjun works with the police to try and prevent the terrorist attack, he finds himself caught in a web of lies, deceit, and corruption. He must decide whether to follow his conscience and do the right thing, or to continue down the path of fame and fortune at any cost.
The film is an adaptation of the 2014 South Korean film The Terror Live and is expected to have a digital release on Netflix in 2021. The trailer of the movie was released on June 9, 2021.
