Devil's Cove tells the story of two women, Mary and Diane, who fall in love despite coming from vastly different backgrounds; Mary is African American and Diane is white. The couple live together in a small coastal town where they lead a quiet life, but this all changes one night when they accidentally kill a local drug dealer in self-defense.
Fearing for their lives, Mary and Diane decide to flee the small town and head out on the open road. They travel from town to town, trying to evade the authorities and the dangerous drug dealers who are on their trail.
