Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phantom Flame is a 2010 Chinese-Hong Kong action-adventure film directed by Tsui Hark. The movie is set during the Tang Dynasty and centers around Detective Dee, a legendary sleuth who was previously exiled and is now called back to service to investigate a series of mysterious deaths that threaten the imminent inauguration of Empress Wu.
