In Detective Chinatown 2, Tang Ren (played by Wang Baoqiang) and Qin Feng (played by Liu Haoran) are invited to New York to compete in the World Detective Contest. With the promise of a huge reward, Tang Ren tricks Qin Feng into going to the competition with him. Together, they find themselves competing against the world's top detectives in a series of challenges and investigations.
