Lily, a city girl from Los Angeles, is upset when she finds out she will be spending the summer on her aunt's ranch in Wyoming. However, she soon meets a group of local teens who introduce her to the joys of country life, including camping, fishing, and horseback riding.
Lily quickly develops a special bond with Pistachio, a spirited horse who seems to understand her in a way no one else does. With her newfound friends and her love for Pistachio, Lily begins to feel at home on the ranch.
