Desperados is a romantic comedy film released on Netflix in 2020. It stars Nasim Pedrad as Wesley, a single and career-driven woman who finally meets the man of her dreams, Jared, played by Robbie Amell. However, after a series of miscommunications, Wesley freaks out and sends Jared a drunken email that she immediately regrets.
When Wesley discovers that Jared is out of town and won't be able to read her email for a few days, she and her two best friends, Brooke (Anna Camp) and Kaylie (Sarah Burns), concoct a plan to fly to Mexico and delete the email from his phone before he reads it. However, their mission is complicated when they run into Sean, Wesley's former boyfriend, played by Lamorne Morris.
As Wesley and her friends navigate the craziness of Cabo San Lucas in search of Jared's phone, they find themselves getting into one hilarious mishap after another. Meanwhile, Sean becomes increasingly involved in their quest, as he tries to win Wesley back and prevent her from making a huge mistake.
