Diane de Monx (Connie Nielsen), a Volf Corporation executive, hires a Japanese translator, Elise Lipsky (Chloe Sevigny), to spy on Mangatronics and steal their secrets. However, Elise is quickly drawn into a web of intrigue and deception as she discovers that both corporations are involved in illegal and dangerous activities.

It also features explicit scenes of violence, sex, and torture, which have drawn controversy and criticism. Despite its controversial content, Demonlover has been praised for its stylish visuals, complex plot, and strong performances from the cast.
