Demonia

Horror  Italy

The movie Demonia is a horror film directed by Lucio Fulci and released in 1990. It follows the story of Professor Malcolm Evans, an archaeologist who is leading a team to excavate the Valley of Temples in Sicily. His assistant and former student, Liza Harris, is experiencing recurring nightmares that seem to be connected to the ruins in the area.

Liza is drawn to the remains of a 16th-century convent that is said to have a gruesome legend of crucifixion. As she investigates further, she becomes obsessed with uncovering the truth and begins to descend into madness.

The local villagers, who are fiercely protective of their ancestors' secrets, rise up against the excavation team, complicating matters further. As Liza delves deeper into the forbidden ruins, she discovers a horrifying truth about the past of the area - one that threatens to destroy her sanity and life.

The film is filled with gruesome scenes that are typical of Fulci's style, including violent crucifixion scenes and supernatural elements. The cast includes Brett Halsey as Professor Malcolm Evans and Meg Register as Liza Harris.

Demonia was not particularly successful at the box office upon release, but has since gained a cult following among horror movie fans.
