Deep Water is a psychological thriller based on a true story and set in the 1960s in the small town of Little Wesley, New England. It tells the story of Vic and Melinda Van Allen, a couple whose marriage is on the brink of collapse. Vic is a successful entrepreneur and devoted father, but he is also a possessive madman who is unable to satisfy his wife Melinda's sexual and emotional needs.
Melinda, on the other hand, is a free spirit who wants to explore her sexuality and desires. She starts having affairs with various men in the town, but the arrangement she has with her husband is not enough for her.
