Death Walks on High Heels is a 1971 Italian-Spanish giallo film directed by Luciano Ercoli. The movie follows Nicole, a Parisian stripper who receives a threatening letter from an unknown man, claiming to possess gems that belonged to her father, who was murdered years ago. Fearing for her life, she flees to London to seek refuge with her wealthy former lover, Michel. However, she discovers that the black-clad assailant has followed her to England and continues to pursue her.
As Nicole tries to stay one step ahead of the killer, she meets several suspicious characters who may be involved in her father's death and the theft of the gems. These include her ex-husband, a mysterious doctor, and Michel's jealous wife. As the body count rises, Nicole must use her wits and seductive charms to unravel the mystery of her father's death and uncover the identity of the killer.
Death Walks on High Heels is known for its stylish direction, atmospheric music, and suspenseful set pieces. It features a strong performance from leading lady Nieves Navarro (aka Susan Scott), who exudes both vulnerability and confidence as the resourceful Nicole. The film also features a memorable score by Stelvio Cipriani and stunning cinematography by Fernando Arribas.
