Death Spa

Horror  United States of America

Death Spa is a horror film released in 1989, directed by Michael Fischa. The film follows the story of Michael Evans, the owner of a high-tech health club called Starbody Health Spa. However, the club is plagued by a series of bizarre and gruesome accidents that claim the lives of several members.

As the body count rises, Michael struggles to figure out what is happening and who is responsible. He discovers that the spa's computer system has been hacked, allowing a vengeful spirit to take control of the club's equipment and turn it into deadly weapons.

Adding to Michael's troubles is the unresolved guilt he feels over the suicide of his wife, who he believes he failed to save. Her brother, David, holds Michael responsible for her death and becomes increasingly hostile and violent towards him.

As Michael races to stop the killer, he must also confront his past and find a way to exorcise the malevolent presence haunting his business. The film features a mix of gruesome death scenes and supernatural terror, with a climactic showdown between Michael and the evil spirit.

Death Spa stars William Bumiller as Michael, Brenda Bakke as the haunted spa chef, and Ken Foree as a detective investigating the murders. While it received mixed reviews upon release, it has since gained a cult following for its over-the-top gore and campy 80s style.
