Death Race 2000 Movie Plot

Carnage: Road to Revolution

Action,Comedy,Science Fiction  United States of America

The year is 2000 and the United States is under the rule of a totalitarian government led by Mr. President. In an effort to keep the population docile and entertained, the government has created a new national sport: the Death Race. The goal: to score points by running over innocent pedestrians with heavily armed vehicles.

The five teams are made up of drivers with various personalities and styles, including the reigning champion, Frankenstein, who wears a mask to hide his injuries from previous races. Each team has a navigator, who helps guide the driver and keeps track of the points.

As the race progresses, it becomes clear that some of the drivers have ulterior motives. Machine Gun Joe, for example, is out for revenge against Frankenstein, while Calamity Jane is trying to win the race for her own personal reasons.

Meanwhile, a group of underground resistance fighters, led by Thomasina Paine, plot to overthrow the government. Paine's daughter, Annie, joins Frankenstein's team as a navigator, with the hope of sabotaging the race from the inside.

As the Death Race reaches its violent conclusion, the various drivers and navigators must confront their own morals and motivations. Will Frankenstein be able to maintain his spot as champion, or will the resistance succeed in their plans to take down the government?

Death Race 2000 is a cult classic from director Paul Bartel, known for its over-the-top violence, dark humor, and biting satire of American society. The film features memorable performances from David Carradine as Frankenstein and Sylvester Stallone as Machine Gun Joe, as well as a young Martin Kove (best known as the villainous sensei in The Karate Kid) as Nero the Hero.
