As Mimaw and her friends navigate the challenges of teenage life in Manila during the 1990s, they bond over their shared love of video games and pop culture. Mimaw (short for Michelle) is dealing with her parents' separation, Paolo struggles with his crush on a schoolmate, Kachi grapples with his fears about an upcoming circumcision, and Gilligan faces his own personal demons.
The group spends their days playing video games, exploring malls, and getting into mischief, all while navigating the ups and downs of adolescence. As they deal with the realities of growing up, they also confront the larger issues facing their country, such as the prevalence of poverty and political corruption.
Throughout the film, the characters learn valuable lessons about friendship, love, and the importance of staying true to themselves in a world that is constantly changing.
